Tartan Water Polo

Hello to ALL!Hope school and your other sports are going fantastic since I last saw everyone! Keep the studies up! Just to touch base with everyone before summer water polo begins:

May 23: Boys Registration at 7 PM at the pool deck

May 24: Girls Registration at 7 PM at the pool deck

- Boys will practice Monday/Wednesday/Friday after school until school ends... then 12-2PM the same days

- Girls will practice Tuesday/Thursday/Friday after school until school ends... then 12- 2PM the same days

- When summer begins: Boys/Girls will practice Friday 7-830AM (along with the other two days)

- I am finalizing the summer schedule right now with other coaches and will get that out ASAP so you can make summer plans around tournament dates. Tournaments/games are the reason we practice, so please do not schedule anything during those dates... so important!

-Along with the price of summer: club coaches would like to invite all the athletes to our camping/training trip to Point Magu near Santa Monica mountains. The dates are June 27-30 (Monday-Thursday). More information as to what to bring will be announced later. Athletes will need to find their own transportation. In order to make this the safest trip possible all coaches are attending with CPR/First Aid certifications and our personal Paramedic for the week. Food will be prepared by sous-chef from orange county restaurant.

Fees:

You must register at www.usawaterpolo.org as a Silver athlete to practice and compete in the tournaments and games we have set up. This is $60 for a year membership.

In order to run this summer club effectively there is a cost. Tournaments, games, equipment, coaching: the fee for summer will remain at the same price as last year: $400. All coaches wish to improve your athletes skills, so if money is a problem contact Coach Michelle to set up a payment schedule, we can work something out!

Cannot wait to see everyone! If you know of any incoming freshmen please share this information with them! As always if you have questions please send me an email.

Summer Tartan Polo!

Flyers will be handed out at the banquet for our summer water polo club team. Tartan Water Polo will be starting up the week of May 23rd. Coaches will be Coach Cindy and Coach Michelle.. we're looking to add a possibly 2 or at least one more coach!

Season coming to an end

As this season draws near :( I'd like to remind everyone that banquet money is due to Janet Bangs in the envelope that was sent home with the girls on mondays practice.

Banquet is February 24th, Thursday! See you all there!

Also, the girls were handed folders at Thursdays game with the flyers for our fundraiser. They NEED to meet at Sam's Club at the designated times on the folders. No excuses!

The last league game is next Thursday, let's make it a point to get out there and cheer on our GHS ...

1st GHS Alumni Game!

Hello current varsity players and alumni of GHS Girls Water Polo!

We have set a date to the 1st GHS Girls Alumni game: December 27th at 2:00 PM

Alumni please arrive at 1:30 PM to stretch out those rusty bones and of course so we can get a head count.

Current Varsity players: You will need to arrive at 12:45 PM to begin setting up pool.

Early Release for Friday for your Los Altos Tournament is at 2:15 PM from school and bus will leave at 2:30 PM

Your game is at Los Altos NEW pool at 4:15 PM vs. Riverside Poly

Weekly Update 9/27/10

Hello Everyone!

Season is going great so far! Varsity boys are 8-5 after playing a close games vs. JW North and Junior Varsity boys are 4-7. Way to go athletes!

This weekend October 1 & 2 is the Ayala JV Tournament. Boys are meeting at 4:20 PM at the GHS Parking lot and carpooling to game site (Walnut High School), game time is 5:15 PM (Friday). Other games vary on win/lose.
